Webcam Eye: An Update

Published by thegreenninja at 3:28 pm under Science Edit This

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about Tanya Vlach , who wanted someone to develop a webcam eye to replace the eye she lost in an accident.  She was asking tech buffs to help her out.

According to Wired Magazine , someone is beating her to the punch.

Determined to be the world’s first eye-borg, Rob Spence says that soon, one of his eyes will have a tiny wireless video camera installed in it.

The eye he’s considering replacing is not a working one — it’s a prosthetic eye he’s worn for several years. Spence, a Canadian filmmaker, would like the ability to make films whereever he goes…by simply looking at life go by.

I hope that this project works out for Spence, as well as Tanya!  Maybe he can perfect his device and give her a few pointers.
