If you’re broke after Christmas and/or bored at work, there’s help! Into board games? Try Shockwave …you can find all sorts of puzzle games, card games, jigsaw puzzles and more. More into explosions and guns? Check out Armor Games . There you can play zombie shooter games, motocross and role-playing games.
My favorites, though, are the games at the Adult Swim website . You can play games such as Amatuer Surgeon 3…making surgery fun again! Or perhaps Candy Mountain Massacre 2 is more your style. “Violence is best when it’s sugar coated!” My personal favorite is Five Minutes to Kill Yourself . You are put into the middle of an office/cubicle setting and allowed to use office supplies like staplers and paper cutters to injure yourself. But you only have 5 minutes, so killing yourself with common office equipment is a little hard. Here’s a hint: Go to the second floor, try to go into the do not enter doors and you will be attacked by weasels. Free online games rock!
Good luck!

Everyone in my house is a musician. Everyone in my house is a geek. So of course, this Christmas, Santa brought us a multitude of geek toys to enjoy.
I got this solar powered theremin kit for my finance. We are both obsessed with this instrument and have always wanted to fool around with one. The fact that he gets to build his own and that it’s solar is a bonus! Plus, it’s made in an altoids tin!
I can’t wait for him to put it together! You can either manipulate the sound waves using your hands or by opening and closing the top of the box. If you have no idea what a theremin is, well, you probably aren’t a true geek. But if you would like to find out, you can check out the video below.

We have a new Christmas Eve tradition. Since my finance will be working on Christmas day, we decided to have our family time on Christmas Eve evening. So, tonight we had some lovely Japanese food and came home and watched 4 straight Christmas episodes of South Park. We all agreed that this was the only Christmas music that we could possibly take.
I’ve been forced to listen to the same 13 Christmas songs on a loop at work for the last month. I was beginning to feel like one of those postal workers that loses it and shoots everything up at the holidays. I am taking a few well needed, but unpaid days off and I intend to get a lot of rest and a lot of quiet and not listen to one damn Aaron Neville Christmas song.
So, that’s our thing, now. Japanese food and South Park. That’s a tradition that will never get old.
Merry Christmas everyone! I can’t wait to tell you about all the geek gifts I bought this year!
Until then, enjoy!

I know that I’m not the only one who has succumbed to the hugely popular series The Universe on The History Channel. My finance and I will stay up for hours on geek overload eating popcorn and watching episodes of The Universe on demand.
Damn. That’s what I should have bought him for Christmas! A whole box set. Anyway…
The newest episode of The Universe explore the possiblity of sex in space . It’s advantages, it’s dangers and it’s reprocussions.
I missed this episode when it aired last week, so I am anxiously awaiting it’s return. The website says that the episode explores the rumors that sex in space has already happened. Surely it has.
Surely.
This is way up high on my list of things to do before I die. If I ever won the lottery, I would totally spend it all on a flight to the cosmos with my soon to be husband. We would eat Spam for the rest of our lives if it meant having a chance to see the stars and have sex in outer space.
If anyone caught that episode, leave me a comment telling me about it.

D, a real live lottery winner is giving away two macbook pros this year on his blog . Everyone knows that I’m a wanna be macbook user, so send your positive thoughts my way about winning this contest.
D blogs about life after winning the lottery. I’ve often wondered what my life would be like if I suddenly came into a lot of cash. I would like to hope that I would invest it, make more, and spend it on worthy things and charities and such.
Not everyone who wins the lottery becomes a generous person, but D is doing his best . He is giving away two macbook pros to his readers just in time for Christmas.
Also this year, he spent some time occupying a Christmas tree lot and purchasing Christmas trees for random strangers. I think that’s a beautiful gesture.
If you want to learn how to enter the contest, just head on over to his blog to find out. He will be giving away the first macbook on December 18th, so if you’re thinking of entering, you should be sure to check it out today! Besides, his blog is just so darn interesting!

One of my favorite all time video games has been released for the iphone. It’s a pity don’t have an iphone, however I know now that I would never get anything done because I would spend all day rolling up giraffes and continents.
I heart Katamari. I really, really do.
I have spent many happy/frustrating hours with this game, its little endearing creatures and the oh-so-gay King of the Cosmos.
Sigh.
Well, I suppose I could start saving up for an iphone. Damn. What a delimma.
Christmas, anyone? Santa? Don’t you love Katamari, too?

One of the neatest Christmas gifts that you can make this year is Sunlight or Moonlight in a jar.
It’s super easy to make and a wonderful little homemade present that anyone would like.
To make one, purchase a solar garden light ( you should be able to find one of these at any department store for around $10) and rip off the outside casing. A simple utility knife should do the job. You want to leave the innards in tact as shown below.
Place the solar light parts inside of a glass jar that has a hinging lid.
Cut strips of tracing paper or tissue paper and glue them to the inside of the jar. Use light blue if you want a Moonlight Jar or orange if you want a Sunlight Jar.

Sit the jar on the front porch, on the patio or in the bedroom window. These make great nightlights for kids if you sit them in the window and let them soak up the sun all day. This is a really good project for a kid who is bored out of his mind on Christmas break.
It’s a great way to line the driveway for a party, too.

Tonight our moon will reach it’s closest point to the earth this year, making it appear to be huge in the night sky. I love it when this happens! I am amazed each and every time I look at the night sky, and when the moon appears to be hanging there, almost falling into us, I could stand outside in the cold and stare for hours.
Tides will be higher tonight, and according to folklore, more babies will be born than on any other night.
An interesting note: The moon is never completely full. For that to happen, the earth, sun and moon would all have to be in a perfect line…and when that happens, a total eclipse occurs.
So if you’re out there and you’re 9 months pregnant, make sure you have a bag packed. If you’re dating someone, take them out to watch the stars and moon tonight. You’ll get romance points for sure.

I want this for Christmas. Porn for Women is what women want!
Photos of guys in fantasy land…where clothes get folded and delicious dinners are prepared and waiting for you after a long day at work.
Including captions such as, “I love a clean house!” this book is all kinds of awesome!
Even if your guy won’t take out the trash, your fantasy guy will. All you have to do is open the book and turn the page.
Everyone needs a fantasy. Something to imagine while they masturbate. Sometimes, it’s as simple as imagining a guy cleaning the bathroom. Seriously, please..for my sanity…someone get this for me for Christmas!

As most of you know, I’ve been enjoying quite a nice little passive income from writing on the web. My latest venture has been writing for the website Bukisa. You can post fairly short how-to type articles and make a little extra cash. The nice part is that you can add people to your network and make money whenever they make money as well! So far I’ve posted about everything from “getting free stuff” to “planning a nature filled vacation”. The nice thing, is that I can add affiliate links to my articles, as well as promote my other blogs.
Free advertisement and an easy way to make money. What have you got to lose?
I’ve been working hard lately to build up my passive income. I truly think it’s the wave of the future. How nice would it be to be able to completely live off of residuals you earned on the net?! That’s the life I want. Click here if you want to check it out.
Also, if you want to check out other places to write and make money on the net, check out my freelance writing blog, The Green Ninja.
