Featured in this month’s Popular Science , this cordless pumpkin carving tool by Dremel can make your Halloween a lot less annoying. You can download carving patterns and project information on the site and get to work!

You don’t even have to cut through the pumpkin!  You just sculpt the patten into the skin of the pumpkin, creating a beautiful effect that can be used with lighting or sound.  It comes with ten templates, but you can print out lots more from the website.

This is SO much easier than the traditional method.  You might even want to do two or three pumpkins this year!

Be careful, though, in letting your kids use the tool.  I would assume it’s for older kids only. If you let your kid use the oven on his own, then he’s probably old enough to use this tool.

I saw these today and couldn’t resist!  They come in a set of six and are actually sold by Namco . (haven’t heard that name in a while, have you?)

Imagine playing Pac-Man on your Atari 2600 and taking a shot from the glass corresponding with the ghost that just ate you.  Drunken geek girl bliss!!!  You can also shoot from the pac man glass every time you die, or from the cherry glass every time you eat some food.

I can imagine getting drunk pretty damn fast this way.  I will be purchasing a set for myself, along with a few sets for friends at Christmas.

Geek girl spent last weekend in New Orleans and the one before in Vicksburg at the casinos.  In the weeks in between, she has been slowing recovering from hangovers.  She’s been working her ass off and spending money almost as fast as she makes it.  She has found the reason for her existence at a website called Pin Up Girl Clothing.

The hotness of the clothes at this website amazes me.  I. WANT. IT. ALL.

The purses, the stripper shoes, the make-up (which they also sell) and the dresses.  Oh, the dresses.

This geek girl is in pin up heaven.

New Orleans was wonderful.  We stayed the home of a family member.  The fire hydrant in front of the house was painted black and gold.  Last night was drinking with friends in a tiny bar in the quarter and this morning was beignets and coffee at Cafe du Monde.  YUM!

Damn, I’m tired.

After taking a nap, I felt like some mindless stumbling across the internets.  This is the best thing I’ve found today.  Virtual Acid Trip .

And believe me, it’s exactly that.

Next up, order a pizza, watch some mindless tv and go to bed.  Exhausted from New Orleans and happy with the world.

Pass the Pigs!  Has anyone ever played this game?  I have and I miss it with all my heart.

For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure, it comes with two tiny pigs and an instruction booklet.  You throw the pigs like dice and then check the positions they land in.  The book shows you how many points you get for each position and you record it on the score card.

You can also have the pigs land in an unnatural pig position (sexual), but unfortunately, you don’t get any points for that.

It’s a great game to travel with and even more fun when you make it into a drinking game.

Use your imagination.

Today’s find is something that will calm your geek ass down!  It’s a wonderful tea made by the Yogi Tea company.  Kava tea will help you unwind after a long day and improve the quality of your sleep.  I posted a wonderful hot toddy recipe using this tea here .

Kava, illegal in some countries due to it’s heavy sedation effect, is a wonderful, wonderful plant product.  If you don’t like drinking tea, some health food stores sell supplements in capsule form.
